Workshop Overview

Based on the foundational works of Ritt and Kolchin since the 1930s, differential algebra has evolved into an extremely rich subject during the last two decades. Differential Algebra and Related Topics (DART) is a series of workshops which offer an opportunity for participants to present original research, to learn of research progress and new developments, and to exchange ideas and views on differential algebra and related topics. DART-VI is the sixth in this series. The previous five DARTs were held at Newark, NJ (USA) in 2000, 2007 and 2008, Beijing (China) in 2010 and Lille (France) in 2013 respectively.

Meanwhile, DART-VI wil be an embedded conference of the 8th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM2015). Information about ICIAM2015 can be found athttp://www.iciam2015.cn/. The workshop will be held at China National Convention Center inside the Beijing Olympic Green.

Specific topics for the workshop include but are not limited to:
  • Algebraic differential and difference equations
  • Differential and difference dimension theory
  • Differential and difference Galois theory
  • Differential invariants
  • D-module theory and Riemann-Hilbert correspondence
  • Exterior differential and integrable systems
  • Integro-differential algebras and differential Rota-Baxter algebras
  • Analysis, combinatorics and number theory related to differential algebra
  • Polynomial vector fields
  • Rota-Baxter algebra and applications
  • Computational differential and difference algebras (characteristic sets, closed-form solutions, factorization etc)
  • Applications of differential and difference algebras (control theory, physics, chemistry, biology etc)
