Abstract:  The Littlewood-Offord Theory studies anti-concentration phenomenon which asserts that nice (discrete) random variables do not place a large mass on a single point. This theory has been developed by many researchers through decades, and has recently found important implications in various branches of mathematics. In this talk we will discuss applications of the theory in extremal combinatorics, as well as random matrices theory.
